Bartlett unemployment edges up to 3.9% in August, still below the Shelby County rate
The suburb's rate rose a tenth of a point but stayed well under Memphis and countywide levels.

Bartlett's unemployment rate edged up to 3.9% in August, a tenth of a point above July's 3.8%, according to figures released Sept. 24 by the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. The rate was up four-tenths of a point from the 3.5% recorded in August 2025.
